Great composition Paul, that horse looking slightly surreal, like a cardboard cut almost - HDR?
paul: No, but i did crank up the contrast quite a bit in making the B&W conversion

The horse looking longingly at the gate is wonderful Paul
paul: He appeared right on cue as we walked up

Stone is clearly in abundance here Paul, I am wondering how far the wall is.
paul: It is about 1/2 mile to the left
Lovely B&W. I like the muscles and shapes on the horse
paul: I think I should have toned down the contrast on the horse just a touch

Excellent Paul - one for the "I wish I had taken pile"
paul: I'm flattered smile
Super shot, Paul, excellent comp' and b/w.
paul: many thanks Frank
Oh dinky do Paul , love this.
paul: My thought exactly when I stumbled upon the scene
The treatment brings out the textures well in the stones and slates
paul: but it overcooked the horse a little I think
A very fine shot Paul, the horse is looking in just the right direction for the composition.
paul: He was very obliging - eventually grin
This is a very fine picture Paul
Terrific, but the treatment has made the horse look a little artificial - a bit like a cardboard cut out!
paul: I agree - i need to tone down the contrast on the horse a little
Ah Fantastico!!!!
