Oh, wow, Paul. Are these considered wildflowers there? They're glorious!
paul: they were part of a display at the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Harlow Carr in Harrogate. I'm afraid I have no idea what they are, just that there were huge flower beds like this that really overwhelmed your sense when you entered this area

This is the sort of picture that would cheer me up on a miserable winter's day. So I'm putting it in my likeys for just such a day!
paul: thanks Bill. I like it for the same reason but it is very hard to give the picture any form or structure. I took it (and the others in the series) mostly to try and convey the way the colours struck you so strongly when you encountered them, so much so that you were aware of nothing else
