I'm intrigued by this Paul. I really don't know what I'm looking at.
paul: It is a wrought iron gate in the gardens of the Senate building in Prague
Terrific false perspective. A very clever piece of work. Where is it?
paul: it is in Prague, in the gardens of the Senate building
The thumb looked like a spider's web ... clever shot. richard
paul: It was interesting to see it from a distance and for the details to fall into place as you got nearer
A very puzzling image. Is it a mirror on the floor?
Ingrid
paul: it looks like it might be Ingrid, but it is just a clever garden gate
A gate to where? You'd need very big feet to prevent you from from falling through.
paul: it leads out of the gardens into a little courtyard
I am puzzled by this picture
paul: the illusion is helped by the plainess of the courtyard beyond the gate
clever garden gate
paul: thats quite an accolade for a garden gate Tim
Clever gate, like one of those puzzles I can never understand! Well spotted Paul
paul: the gardens themselves are worth a look, even better in the summer I would imagine
This is such a great find Paul. It really does your head in when first looking at it.
paul: I aim to confuse
This is both fascinating and intruiging, Paul. A bit of tremp l'oeil (not sure I have spealt that correctly.
paul: I couldn't spell it either chad
This is a fantastic capture of a great optical illusion.
Awesome the way the lines on the gate make it appear that you could walk out on it.
paul: it seemed somewhat out of place in that setting - but very effective
what a great shot Paul, there is a real optical illusion with the perspective. mal
paul: I wish I could have avoided the little step on the bottom left intruding but you can't have everything
Great find Paul. I really like the perspective here!
paul: I'd love to go back to the gardens later in the year, I think they will be well worth another visit
well spotted
paul: Thank you Dr
That is so effective - you need the colour to make sense of it!
paul: you are very right - i tried a B&W version which just didn't work so well
Thanks for telling us more about this gate Paul, I know I would have walked straight past it. Very unusual picture, well done. Brian.
paul: I saw it from some way off and enjoyed it slowly becoming clear as i got closer
I waited and waited for Alice to appear as she headed towards Wonderland... alas, no joy
Great capture, tadpole! |
