Very nice, Paul! Is this a memorial for a ship wreck?
paul: In 1871 there was a huge storm and about 40 ships attempting to take refuge in Bridlington bay were wrecked. The bay had been designated as a 'bay of refuge' since the 17th century but it was anything but that it 1871

I like this, it sums up the British seaside very nicely

I have fond memories of a family holiday in Filey.
