First light at Lake Paringa

We just got back  from our visit to NZ. I'm way too tired and jet-lagged to start going through all the hundreds of photos properly, but I did have a quick peep at what I had captured and here are a few hastily processed pics...

FANTASTIC Paul! This is just simple, and simply stunning!
paul: We were travelling in a campervan and arrived in the dark - this was the view that awaited me in the morning! Nobody else around, just the still lake and the sun creeping up over the mountains

This is exquisite Paul
paul: the photo is nice, but to be there was truly exquisite
You must have been very excited at your haul of photographs Paul if this one is anything to go by.
paul: loads more still to examine closely but there were a few that I knew at the time I pressed the shutter were going to be good.
Well, that's a pretty good start Paul!
paul: I've just gone to the ones I thought at the time were going to be good, lots more still to look at
Very nice shot of the best time of the day.
paul: One of the good things about the trip was getting into the habit of keeping different hours - I was always awake early
This hasty processing is working a treat Paul. wonderfully atmospheric picture
paul: nothing much to do to this one - a bit of early morning mist, some great light and you are good to go
Beautiful atmosphere.
paul: thanks Brian - it was a magical experience
If this is setting the precedent, it's going to be quite some series Paul - wonderfully atmospheric and the processing isn't bad either! smile
paul: not much processing needed for this one. They might not all be so good, I've just looked out the ones I thought at the time would be OK but with several hundred more to choose from I hope there will be a few more good ones in there somewhere

Great atmosphere of calm and stillness with a hint of anticipation about what the day will bring. Lovely.
