photoblog image come unto me

come unto me

I can't drive by the Angel of the North without stopping to  photograph it. As most of my work has been in Scotland for the past year this has mean't lots of photos. I think this is the best sky I have caught so far and it looked better in B&W (or something close)

Gormley is one of my favourite artists. This is his most famous piece but there are others that I prefer (visit the Tate!)

Interesting shot.
Is very dramtic with the tones you choose.

Suby
paul: Glad you liked it Suby. A straight B&W didn't quite capture the menace in the sky

Hi Paul, I love the silhouettes of the walkers but feel that the angel is a little too large in the frame. It may suit a slighter wider crop to compliment the shape of the structure. I do like the toning though.
Regards
Simon
paul: You are quite right Simon - I simply have to buy that wide angle lens I have had my eye on grin thanks for making the case so persuasively
