lady hare and birds

A few days without posting anything and I start to get withdrawal symptoms. Also I have accumulated a few pictures I don't mind sharing so here it the first one - from a brief visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It is another take on Sophie Ryder's Lady hare pieces which I like very much

Glad to see you back - the rest of us can't survive too long either without tadpole, you know!
paul: I'll bet it was harder for me than it was for you smile

what an amazing sculpture. what is she made of? the birds flying past are stunning.
paul: I'm not sure about the materials - there is some kind of mesh but it has lumps of metal incorporated and there is a resin finish. Have to admit that I got tired of waiting for the birds and found my own from elsewhere wink

Oh Paul, I think you gave a totally new perception to Sophie Ryder's sculpture with those birds and treatment, and that is exactly what should be expected, when people take pictures of other people's art. Otherwise, what's the point. Good thinking, Paul.
I'm about to go to bed, and I think I already know who will quietly appear my dream. smile
paul: I don't mind a straight representation of a piece of sculpture or another work of art - I make plenty of those images. The important thing is that the picture has significance for one person or for many. Lots of times the images of sculptures that I make would be just a postcard view for somebody else but they capture the magic of the moment for me. Sometimes though I find the inspiration to communicate the feeling in a more direct or imaginative way that others can connect with. I hope this is one of those.
I fully agree with VZ, I don't see the point in just recording a painting or sculpture, I think it's better to add your own twist. Which is exactly what you have done with diamonds on! I like the way the hare is watching the birds, great processing too.
Good to see your work againsmile
paul: every picture has meaning for its creator - good images communicate something to other people too
Nice to have you back Paul.
What a fantastic shot!
paul: i really missed being an active contributor, even for a few days

What a fabulous, mysterious atmosphere you have created. I feel as though the hare is looking longingly at the freedom of the birds and wishing he wasn't so earth-bound. Totally agree with the comments about photographing art, but this is superb.

paul: I like your interpretation Ingrid. It wasn't how I saw the scene though. For me the ordinary birds and trees were elements that placed this strange woman/hare being in the realm of the ordinary, but the rather ominous sky was a sign that others might not agree and there would be trouble ahead.
Fantástica
paul: thank you
Gosh we visited this place many moons ago - must plan a return visit. Like your take on it.
paul: I am lucky to have it on my doorstep so I go there often
