Beautiful interplay of light and shadow.
paul: I'm feeling guilty now because the reflection is constructed

Lovely, unusual in mono but I do like it.

I think I might have a play with my recent sunset and see if it comes out the same. smile
paul: the image as I took it was just black and orange so I thought I wouls try a mono treatment

Sunset in b&w! Thank you, Paul.
I see two good pictures here. Do you?
smile Z
paul: Depends how you count VZ smile I started with one picture, made another and put the 2 together!

amazing Paul. nailed on likey. where is this? mal
paul: well part of it is Temple Newsam park in Leeds (the trees and the sunset). Sadly the architects neglected to build a lake to capture the reflection so I was forced to fashion one in PS smile
Did you see the final programme in the "Genius of photography" series last night? This image could be worth $2.4 million! wink Great image.
paul: What a fantastic series that was! The best thing on TV in ages
super super shot, sunset in b&w and brilliant too.
paul: thanks Tim, I'm very pleased you liked it
Oh wow! I would never have expected a mono sunset to look quite so wonderful! (:o)
paul: everything looks good in B&W smile
Fantastic image Paul ! I love this B&W. Very poetic image.
paul: thanks Florence. Even though the reflection was constructed rather than real I think it creates a good effect
Mighty work on B&W - Thumbs up and certainly a likey !!
paul: very kind of you Zeb smile

This is so beautiful it makes me want to go there, sit, be, and remember it forever.
paul: sorry Kathryn but it isn't real - at least the 'water' bit isn't. I thought the trees deserved a lake to be reflected in and so I made one for them
Superb image. What a refection!
paul: thanks Richard - the reflection isn't real I'm afraid. I made it up in PS
I'm not usually keen on half and half pictures but this one works a treat for me. I agree with VZ but would say there are 3 good pictures here.
paul: only 3?? grin
Lovely tones Paul.

Super shot Tad
At first glance I would never have known - it's still a great image Paul and a B&W sunset is a refreshing change.
paul: this was a real lesson for me in how pictures appear differently on different screens at different resolutions.

I'm in a B&W state of mind at the moment smile
