By way of contrast to the walk around the York Snickelways, here are a few pictures from a recent tour of Drax Power Station.
Just down the road from me, it supplies between 6 - 9% of the nation's electricity needs depending upon how sunny or windy it is that day. On the evening of my visit it was kicking out enough for about 3m homes, and running on bio-mass rather than coal.
This was a visit organised for members of Selby Camera Club so there were about 20 of us, bristling with cameras and lenses, all trying to find a unique shot. This was my attempt to be a bit different.
