A walk around the snickelways of York

We emerge from Coffee Yard into Grape Lane. Its name has changed over the years, previously it was called Grapcunt Lane (and Grap meant Grope). Donald Trump would have felt right at home here. In a few moments we will be heading down Finkle Street which used to be called Mucky Peg Lane. You get the picture.

Splendid architecture and history
These old buildings look fine in B.& W., shame the council has to put the double lines there.
The Victorians tended to get rid of naughty names!
Brian beat me to it, yellow lines are an eyesore everywhere! Your shot conveys the feel of the place, Paul.
