A walk around the snickelways of York

The backs of the Lady Row houses form the edge of the lovely Tonge's Court but the fronts face onto Goodramgate. These houses were built in 1316 and are the oldest in York. It is good to see them still in occupied, but slightly sad that some of them are now a chinese takeaway!

Blimey the age of these things is staggering. A pity they aren't used for something more appropriate to the dignity of the place
