Coming out of Mad Alice Lane you can cross Low Petergate and go straight down another little snickelway called Hornpot Lane, a place associated in the 14th century with the horn-making industry. At the time I was there though the gates were locked and I had to divert down Goodramgate to reach my next destination which was Holy Trinity Church.
This is a lovely little church with a quiet churchyard bounded by the cottages of Lady Row, York's oldest surviving houses. The church itself is worth looking round too.
