quite a strong image...
paul: NSPCC always did know how to tug at the heart strings. BTW, we stole the idea from you Yanks - Liverpool banker, Thomas Agnew, on a trip to New York in
1881, visited the New York Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Children. He was so impressed by the charity,
that on his return he set up a similar venture in Liverpool
in 1883, the Liverpool Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Children. It soon grew into a national organisation
That is very sad.
Great subject for a photo
paul: I think it is quite creepy!

Designed to tug at the heart strings alright isn't it Paul. I have a Penny and a very fine rabbit staying with me here in Bath today
paul: so i heard - i hope they have all been behaving themselcves
What might be called a heart rending painting, just right for this charity.
paul: not actually a painting Brian - this is a 4 ft model of a child and you put your pennies in the hole in his chest
As recent trials prove, sadly, still necessary, Paul.
paul: sadly so (but it keeps me in a job)
