Amazing - before reading the subtitle I thought, "Middle earth"! Fantastic bit of processing, Paul - what did you use?
paul: I'm not sure i could reproduce all the steps - there were about 15 layers involved. The fuzzy feel of the branches came from applying a blur and changing the blend mode to screen, but I can't remember all the other steps
this looks like a still scene from Lord of the Rings, love it
